The Square Fish Café is located in the centre of the square at Lenham Village, and is part of a locally renowned fish and chip takeaway, The Chequers Fish Bar.

Our client approached Kent Design Studio to transform the building’s existing use as a storage facility and workshop (historically the local petrol station and mechanic) into restaurant facilities for the The Square Fish Cafe, providing a restaurant space, of which there was limited seating space as existing. 

Due to its location and historic use as a key building within the village, there is a grade II listing on the property.

Kent Design Studio worked closely with the client, the conservation and planning team at the local authority and the builder to deliver this stunning new asset to the village.

The first few weeks being open have been a huge success.
