The site lies in the heart of Greatstone in Kent and comprises of a detached three bedroom single storey bungalow. 
 
Kent Design Studio were approached by our client to look at the complete transformation of the building into a family home that reflected the sea side location of the property.
 
The brief was to carry out a full renovation of the bungalow - revisiting the internal layout, taking down the old lean-to conservatory and building a new single storey kitchen extension to create an open plan kitchen / dining room. 

The elevations, existing and new, were treated to fresh cladding in a pastel blue to sharpen the aesthetic externally. 
 
Kent Design Studio set out to exceed the clients brief and expectation with the introduction of a full height glass gable and vaulted ceilings internally to create a sense of space and connection with the surrounding landscape. In Addition, alternative materials were considered carefully and selected to create a contemporary, fresh look to the property.
 
All of the above was carried out by Kent Design Studio from initial thoughts through to completion, and included a full planning application, and building regulations submission.
