April Cottage was formerly a successful restaurant in the heart of Bearsted, overlooking the village green. 

Our client approached us having had difficultly obtaining permission to convert the property back into a residential dwelling with the associated internal alterations required to do so. 

We were commissioned to carry out a full set of building regulation drawings for the conversion of the property, and to oversee building works. 

We removed the existing toilet facilities that used to serve the restaurant, together with the existing stone staircase and also a very unsafe spiral stair, and set to work creating a brand new kitchen space, bedroom and dressing area as well as a full refurbishment and alterations to all other areas within the property. 

The result is a long way from the dated, commercial space that used to be and is now enjoyed as a characterful family home by our client.
