EQUESTRIAN FACILITIES, MARDEN
The site is located in the heart of the Kentish country side, adjacent to and west of Goudhurst Road [B2079] and is part of the parish of Marden. The property is located 2.5 miles from the village centre. The wider area is predominantly agricultural land and patches of woodland. Furthermore, the built environment is a mixture of sporadic and clustering development.
The site is approximately 21,100 sqm of agricultural land which is currently being used for grazing. The land is part of the curtilage associated with the property.
The client has a running history of working with horses, having extensive experience with grooming and riding instruction. Being a member of the British Dressage Association, they have participated in numerous professional competitions which were held on 60 x 20m arenas.
Kent Design Studio & Kent Planning Consultancy alongside Mark Scott Arenas were asked by our client to provide a bespoke stable building with associated yard and parking, a new riding menage and new track, along with separating the agricultural land into paddocks.
Kent Planning Consultancy and Kent Design Studio provided planning support alongside Mark Scott Arenas who advised and constructed the project.
