Planning permission was granted to expand on the existing farm facilities, introducing two new purpose-built buildings to create a large grain store, and a separate hay and straw store.

The designs of the buildings were influenced by the setting of the farm within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and as such the proposal were accompanied by robust landscaping mitigation.

The buildings are constructed using a steel framework with concrete panels, clad in green metal and Yorkshire boarding, with a grey single skin fibre cement roof.

The existing historic farmstead is made up of many old buildings which do not meet modern day farming requirements, Kent Design Studio have also undertaken several applications at the farm for the conversion of these buildings to alternative uses through full planning permission and Class R.

The development of the site has allowed for the expansion and diversification of the farming enterprise.
