OAST HOUSE, WOULDHAM

We were appointed to re-interpret this land mark that once stood on the River Medway within the AONB.

The building was badly damaged by strong winds in the 1960s and then again in 1987 making it unrecognisable as an Oast House, as you will see from the existing elevations. The usable area has been multiplied to form a very generous family home with self-contained annex and associated landscaping.

A well-considered approach was taken through Pre-Application consultations and meeting with both Planning and Conservation Officers at Medway, which has led to us being given the opportunity to create something beautiful, some sixty years on from its original collapse.

Planning Permission has been approved, keep your eyes peeled for this land mark just south of Rochester as we move on to the technical stages.
