BRIEF: New Build Residential Property

 

• New build sits on the site of an old agricultural barn.

 

• The design intent was to create a dwelling which took inspiration from rural style buildings

• Both form and scale were designed carefully to ensure the building’s visual impact was minimal within the sensitive landscape whilst still giving a nod to the sites history.

• The limited material palette has worked well, reflecting commonly found finishes within the local vernacular which have been applied in a more contemporary manner.
