BRIEF: Full roof extension to convert a single storey bungalow into a 4 bed family home

• Complete transformation of the existing building into a family home that took full advantage of the far reaching views across the Kent countryside.

• Full roof extension which incorporated a carport below, to create a four bed family home. 

• The whole roof was replaced with a higher, steeper pitched slate roof, complete with natural cedar wood dormers to create the space required.

• Kent Design Studio set out to exceed the clients brief and expectation with the introduction of a balcony overlooking fields off of the master suite

• Floor to ceiling glass and vaulted ceilings used internally to create a sense of space and connection with the surrounding countryside

• Alternative materials were considered carefully and selected to create a contemporary, fresh look to the property.

• KDS were involved for the entire project, from initial thoughts through to completion

• Work included a full planning application, building regulations submission and on site assistance for the contractor to ensure the project ran smoothly from start to finish
