LOOKERS LEGACY

LOCATION: Stone in Oxney

BRIEF:  To convert a former Shepherds / Lookers Hut into a holiday let

​

• Original building would have been used by Shepherds as their accommodation whilst caring for their flocks

​

• To save the original building from falling into ruin, KDS were approached to prepare a planning application to convert and extend the building

​

• The existing form of the hut was taken and a modern interpretation designed to sit beside it

​

• The original and modern parts were connected via a glass link to preserve the form and appearance of the original building

​

• Now being run as a very successful holiday let, providing tourism to the local area
