Folkestone Harbour Arm is a vibrant entertainment hub well known for its independent bars and food outlets, an outdoor harbour screen showing movies and sports, weekly marketplace and other events.

The Folkestone Harbour and Seafront Development Company are in the process of expanding the existing facilities with further new outlets as the wider development of the seafront gets under way.

 

Kent Design Studio were approached to assist with proposals for a new bar and restaurant constructed from shipping containers.  Located to the south of the Harbour Arm, built on the footprint of the old pilot station on the beach, the proposals create new and exciting facilities.  Kent Design Studio assisted from the initial consultation phase right through to obtaining planning approval and producing technical detailing, working closely with the client and Folkestone and Hythe District Council to deliver the scheme to great success.
